Production on 'Halloween' Officially Begins!
The bad news is It's two hundred seventy-nine days until the release of Blumhouse Production's 'Halloween'. The good news is Production has officially begun! David Gordon Green is directing this latest installment in the Halloween franchise with Danny McBride having co-written the script.
Scream Queen Jamie Lee Curtis returns as her iconic role as Laurie Strode who will come face to face with Michael Myers one last time after narrowly escaping his murderous killing spree on Halloween night forty years ago. Judy Greer will star as Karen Strode, playing the daughter of Jamie Lee's character Laurie. Andi Matichak (Orange is the New Back, Underground) will play Allyson, Laurie Strode's granddaughter. Curtis has appeared in four of the films in the franchise including the original 1978 Halloween, Halloween II (1981), Halloween: H20: 20 Years Later (1998) and Halloween Resurrection. It has been widely rumored that Nick Castle who played The Shape, aka Michael Myers, will return to play The Shape one last time.
The man who started it all, John Carpenter will serve as Executive Producer and creative consultant on this film along with Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, The Purge).
The Shape will return to theaters on October 19, 2018.
