George C. Romero Launches Website for 'Rise of the Living Dead'
Making Zombie Films Great again, he will. George C. Romero, the son of the late and great Master of Horror George A. Romero has launched a new website for his forthcoming 'Rise of the Living Dead' movie. The website Romero's DeadVerse will bring updates to all aspects of the movie's production. Initially titled 'Origins', more of a working title of sorts, many fans were intrigued by the name and speculating what the project could entail. Much to everyone's surprise, Romero revealed the movie's title 'Rise of the Living Dead' would serve as a prequel to his father's great 1968 zombie classic 'Night of the Living Dead'.
Hey all! I've got something pretty cool to share with you here. I know that a lot of you have been messaging me to ask questions about some of the hints I've been dropping regarding "Rise of the Living Dead" and the fact that it has grown beyond just the film. Well, a few of us have been working our asses off to bring it all together and I'm so happy to finally be able to share it with you.
It's taken a minute to put everything together in a way that made sense but I'm proud to announce the brand new online resource for all things related to "Rise of the Living Dead" and all the pieces of the property.
I'll tag all the folks who have been working their asses off when I share this post to the group. For some reason I can't seem to tag people in this post here on the page.
Head over to http://romerosdeadverse.com to have a look at most of the pieces of the puzzle. I say most because I'm actually in the process of adding a couple more things to the site.
I can't thank you all enough for your support of this project and the love y'all are showing me, my dad, his legacy and the honor I'm working to bring to world as the second generation of Romero.
Please continue your love and support by liking, sharing, posting and make sure you bookmark the website as it is now the official resource for all things regarding this project. I've always promised to be transparent about this whole thing and I think this is the best way for me to do it.
Wait til you see the cool stuff we have in store that we are working to bring to life.
There's also a better merch store in place now. It uses PayPal only so all transactions are totally safe and I've removed the middle man of etsy to allow for more consistent pricing. I'll be adding a bunch of new products as well, but for now, there is Rise merch and some merch from my older films. There is also a limited release of the original shirt designs when the project was codenamed "Origins." I won't be keeping them up very long so order now!
You can also link directly to my Patreon to help support the podcast and all proceeds from everything are going to go directly to support the podcast costs and pay for production of materials for the RPG (WHAAAAT! That's right... a legit RPG!). In short... all the proceeds from everything go directly to the further development of Romero's Deadverse, the ultimate homage to my dad.
Thank you guys!
